Mt. Mitake Hiking and sake brewery visit - One-day excursion
Starting point: Shinjuku station
Meeting at the hotel is available with additional fee.
Departure time:8:00
Duration (approx):8hours
Description
Unlike Mount Takao, one of the famous and overcrowded hike in Tokyo Metropolis, Mount Mitake attracts hikers and nature lovers searching clean air and tranquility. As you’re leaving the center of Tokyo by the train, you will have the impression that the cityscape will never end, not until you suddenly find yourself surrounded by mountains and beautiful rivers that follow the railroad yet you're still in Tokyo.

Before reaching it, you will go through another mysterious temple dedicated to three other Japanese Goddesses, and the famous Jindai Keyaki, a great Zelkova tree older than 600 years. Reaching the sanctuary of Mitake is an easy hike and takes about 30 minutes. For anyone who loves nature and hiking, you could make your ride going to the “Rock of Tengu”, which is a Japanese legendary monster believed living in the sacred mountain. This magical place is called “Rock Garden”, surrounded by lush vegetation and magnificent waterfalls.
Mount Mitake is good place for eating bento (lunch box) outside, so please make sure to bring your bento.
After you've worshipped the shrine, instead of taking hiking course in the forest, you could also relax in a restaurant and taking a look at small shops and souvenir shops nearby.

Lastly, all you will have to do is sleeping in the quiet train home, still tipsy by your last tasting and your wonderful ride.
Return details:
The tour finish at Misaki Guchi Station or Miura Kaigan Station.( The tour leader will explain you the way back to Tokyo)
Sending service to the hotel is also available with additional fee.
